AWS adds Continuum integrations for OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code

Amazon Web Services said at Black Hat USA 2026 that its Continuum code security platform will integrate directly into OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code, in addition to AWS's own Kiro IDE. AWS also expanded Security Hub Extended with a new supply-chain security category and added Chainguard and Socket as partners.

Why it matters: The announcement shows AWS trying to make its security tools the control layer for AI-assisted software development even when customers use rival coding models.
