ByteDance trains a 10 trillion-parameter AI model as it pushes to compete with leading labs

Ars Technica reports that ByteDance is training a very large AI model with 10 trillion parameters. The effort is framed as part of the TikTok owner's push to compete more directly with frontier model developers including Anthropic.
