   Meta releases Muse Glimmer, a 30B Apache 2.0 open-weight model for local AI agents

   Meta has released Muse Glimmer, a 30 billion-parameter open-weight model aimed at autonomous AI agents running on consumer hardware such as high-end Macs and PCs. VentureBeat reports that the model is available now on Hugging Face under an Apache 2.0 license, marking a more permissive open-source release than Meta's earlier Llama licensing and following the proprietary Muse Spark launch in April. Support is also rolling out across tools including Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, SGLang, Together AI, Fireworks AI, and OpenRouter.

   TechCrunch reports that AI infrastructure startup Together AI has raised $800 million at an $8.3 billion valuation. The company is described as a neocloud provider focused on hosting open-source models, and the report says its prior round in early 2025 valued it at $3.3 billion.
